Oconee County Library Board To Vote On Four New Requests To Reclassify Books

***Meeting At New Wire Park Facility***

The Oconee County Library Board of Trustees, meeting for the first time on Monday in the as-yet-not-completed Oconee Library in Wire Park in Watkinsville, will consider four requests for reconsideration of the classification of books.

Stephen Aleshire is asking the Board to move the book Different Kind Of Fruit from the Juvenile to the Adult Section of the Library.

COVID Cases In Northeast Health District, After Last Week’s Decline, Return To Levels Of The Last Month

***Oconee, Clarke Report Small Drops In Cases***

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that the Northeast Health District added 278 new cases of COVID-19 in the week ending on Jan. 3, based on the Department’s electronic tracking system.

The Department of Public Health reported the Northeast Health District had added 184 cases in the week ending on Dec. 27, down from 268 cases in the week ending on Dec. 20, and 274 cases in the week ending on Dec. 13.
