Clarke County Reports Second COVID-19 Death, Barrow Reports First; Oconee County Confirmed Cases Stable At 10

***State Reports 365 New Cases***

Clarke County has recorded its second death attributable to COVID-19, and Barrow County has recorded its first death, according to the Georgia Department of Health Daily Status Report for noon today.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Clarke County increased by three since noon of yesterday to 35.

The number of cases in Oconee County remained at 10, but Barrow County added a case and is now at 7 confirmed cases.

The number of cases in Morgan, Green, Jackson and Madison counties remained the same as yesterday.

Walton County reported two confirmed cases, up from 0 at noon yesterday.

The number of confirmed cases statewide increased by 365 and now stands at 2,366. The increase of 18.2 percent is down from the increase of 31.2 percent a day earlier, when 476 cases were added.

The Daily Status Report for the first time today broke down deaths from COVID-19 by county.

The total number of deaths now stands at 69, up from 64 at this time yesterday, and Dougherty County (Albany) leads the state with 13 deaths, followed by Fulton with 12.
